What Desk Jam AI is
Desk Jam AI is a single-purpose video generator for the tiny desk ai trend, launched in October 2026. You upload one to three photos — you, up to two friends who agreed, or a pet — and get a silent 19-second clip of them as the singer and band in a fictional office desk concert, in landscape 16:9 or vertical 9:16. There are no prompts to write and nothing to edit.
Who is behind it
Desk Jam AI is built, written and supported by the Desk Jam AI team, an independent group that makes small AI video tools for social-media trends. We are not a broadcaster, record label or talent agency, and we have no connection to NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band or TikTok. Every page on this site is written by the team and dated when it changes.
How we check what we publish
Facts on this site come from running the tool itself, not from estimates.
- The home-page example is a real output, shown next to the photos it was made from; those photos are of AI-generated fictional adults.
- Generation times (about 8–12 minutes for Standard, 15–20 minutes for HD) are measured on real jobs.
- Prices are the amounts charged at checkout: $4.99, $7.99, $12.99 and $17.99, with no subscription.
- Trend dates and song facts link to published sources, listed at the end of this page.
How the videos are made
Videos are generated with Wan 3.0 Reference-to-Video, Alibaba’s video model, run on fal.ai. It follows our original fictional desk-concert reference clip and redraws the singer and band members from your photos; a failed job is retried once automatically. Photo safety review uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, and the exact scene description for every video is checked by Waffo Prompt Sift.
- Video model: Wan 3.0 Reference-to-Video by Alibaba, run on fal.ai.
- Photo check: Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, one photo at a time.
- Scene description check: Waffo Prompt Sift, before every job.
- Reference scene: our own re-staged fictional band and office, with no concert footage, signs or logos.
What we will not do
Some rules hold for every video, whatever the trend does next.
- No photos of celebrities, musicians, athletes, coaches, politicians or minors.
- No NPR or Tiny Desk logos, no concert footage, no lyrics and no soundtrack.
- No public gallery: videos are private to your account and deleted within 30 days.
- No training our own models on your photos.

Questions, answered.
Who makes Desk Jam AI?
Desk Jam AI is built and run by the Desk Jam AI team, an independent group that makes small AI video tools for social-media trends. It is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band or TikTok.
Which AI model makes the video?
Videos are generated with Wan 3.0 Reference-to-Video, Alibaba’s video model, run on fal.ai. It follows our original fictional desk-concert reference clip and redraws the singer and band members from your photos; a failed job is retried once automatically. Photo safety review uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, and the exact scene description for every video is checked by Waffo Prompt Sift. One, two and three-person videos use the same model and the same 19-second format.
Is this the official NPR Tiny Desk?
No. Desk Jam AI is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band or TikTok. “Tiny Desk” is a trademark of NPR and is used here only to name the social-media trend. Our videos use an original fictional office and band, not footage from any concert.
